THIS MONTH'S FEATURED TOPIC
Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria
Rejection sensitivity is a real experience.
Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria, or RSD, is this month’s topic because many neurodivergent people do not only experience rejection as an emotional disappointment. It can affect their focus, body, relationships, self-trust, and sense of safety.
A delayed reply, a flat response, a change in tone, being left out, criticism, or unresolved conflict can feel much bigger than other people realize. Not because the person is being dramatic, but because their mind may be working overtime to understand what happened, what it means, and whether they are still safe in the relationship.
This month’s posts explore RSD through real-life situations: overthinking messages, replaying conversations, waiting for apologies, feeling excluded, masking hurt, over-explaining, and learning how to protect your peace without abandoning your need for connection.
The point is not to pathologize sensitivity. It is to understand what happens when rejection, ambiguity, and relational uncertainty hit harder than expected.
